The corrosion treatment with Humidur® for the Royal Netherlands Navy included the treatment of 50 tubular supporting piles of the shiplift.
The treatment had to be done from top to below the waterline (-2.0 m NAP). The access of submerged tubular piles is not possible with standard cofferdams. That is why Acotec developed a tubular cofferdam. This revolutionary cofferdam provides safe and dry access to the whole tubular pile, without the help of any divers and avoids the shutdown of the activities.
