Mineria Esperanza - Chile

The Mineria Esperanza project included outside coating application of seawater steel pipeline stations 1, 2, 3, 4 of SIAM Mineria Esperanza. (Siam means “systema de impulsion de aqua de mar”).
Chile experiences a great lack of water inland. On the other hand, Chile is a wide stretched country with lots of access to seawater. This water needs to be transported to the inland mines for rinsing the ores, often at high altitudes. The Esperanza Project is the project of hope. The Esperanza mine is located at 145km away from the coastline and situated at 2300 metres above sea level.
