One of Acotec’s activities is protecting petrochemical structures (such as storage tanks) from corrosion. This may be a pipe or pipeline structure used for oil & gas transport. Similar systems and tools are available as described under ‘Energy’.
Structures that can be coated in the petrochemical industry are storage tanks used to store oil, chemicals, acids, caustics, detergents, lubricants and liquefied gas. Acotec offers solutions for inside and outside protection of these storage tanks, both in steel and concrete.
Both coating performance and coating application are safe processes as there are no volatile organic components and the flashpoint of the product is above 100°C. Moreover, Acotec has over 35 years’ experience of working with companies such as Statoil, Shell, Texaco, Premier Oil, Talisman Energy, Esso, BP, Uniol, Petronas, etc.
