After inspection of the Claymore Jacket Center Line, it was concluded that some nodes needed coating repairs. The primerless one-coat Humidur® system was determined to be the best solution.
As the nodes are in the splash zone, they were accessed by rope-access. Prior to coating, surface preparation work was carried out (degreasing, cleaning, abrasive blasting). Then the sharp edges and welds were stripe coated. Finally, the coating was applied by airless spray.
