The Helideck support of the Brent Charlie - Shell was showing significant corrosion at the node locations and required fabric maintenance to maintain structural integrity, prevent further material loss and remove the issue of potential dropped objects from corrosion product.
It was agreed that mechanical preparation using a combination of needle guns and bristle blasters would achieve the ST3 surface preparation standard to apply the HUMIDUR Brush Grade coating.
